Abstract
Proposed object-oriented approaches are still in an initial stage of investigation and are not powerfull enough to modelling Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) applications which manipulate ill-defined, evolving and multifaceted objects. In this paper, we argue in favour of a model, called CEDAR, which aims at easing the modelling process by endowing the object-oriented approach with a viewpoint notion.
