Abstract
In this paper we present a way to translate the intuitive ideas of Harel's statechart into the SCCS framework due to Milner. The first part explains Harel's syntax for events and labels. Then we explain the reader notions how to build a statechart, the intuitive semantics for each construction and the way we use to translate it. We describe a way to simulate the effective behaviour of a statechart following a scenario i.e. a succession of external events taken one after the other. The last part deals with rules that permit to evaluate the effective behaviour of statecharts in another way.
