Abstract
This paper proposes a methodology to compare the behaviour of acoustic-phonetic decoders. We define a norm which allows an overall comparison of decoders providing lattices of very different size. For a more precised analysis, we display curves which draw the evolution of the number of errors with the number of selected pathes in the lattice. The classes of errors are parameters of the software.
