Abstract
Résumé: Dix ans après son introduction, la technique de l'embrochage intra-focal des fractures de l'extrémité inférieure du radius s'est maintenant généralisée et, devant la multiplicité des opérateurs, il est important de repréciser quelques points de technique : pose des broches sans léser les nerfs ni les tendons, nombre et type des broches, conduite de l'intervention, critères cliniques et radiologiques de réussite, suites opératoires et ablation des broches. Il était utile aussi de faire état de l'expérience de l'auteur sur la fréquence et le type d'éventuelles complications avec les moyens de les éviter, ainsi que de faire le point sur l'évolution des indications. Correctement réalisée, cette technique simple dans son principe mais minutieuse dans sa mise en œuvre, procure, grâce à l'absence d'immobilisation, une amélioration notable des résulats dans ces fractures, les plus fréquentes de la traumatologie.
Summary: Ten years after its introduction, the technique of intra-focal pinning of fractures of the lower extremity of the radius is now widely used. In view of the large number of operators, it is important to define a number of technical points : insertion of the pins without damaging the nerves or tendons, the number and type of pins, conduct of the operation, clinical and radiological criteria of succes, post-operative course and removal of the pins. The author also reviews his experience concerning the frequency and the type of possible complications together with methods designed to avoid them and analyses the development of the indications for this procedure. When correctly performed, this technique, which is simple in principle, but which must be performed meticulously, provides considerable improvement in the results of these extremely common fractures due to the absence of immobilisation.

Il était utile aussi de faire état de l'expérience de l'auteur sur la fréquence et le type d'éventuelles complications avec les moyens de les éviter, ainsi que de faire le point sur l'évolution des indications. Correctement réalisée, cette technique simple dans son principe mais minutieuse dans sa mise en œuvre, procure, grâce à l'absence d'immobilisation, une amélioration notable des résulats dans ces fractures, les plus fréquentes de la traumatologie.</abstract><abstract lang="en">Summary: Ten years after its introduction, the technique of intra-focal pinning of fractures of the lower extremity of the radius is now widely used. In view of the large number of operators, it is important to define a number of technical points : insertion of the pins without damaging the nerves or tendons, the number and type of pins, conduct of the operation, clinical and radiological criteria of succes, post-operative course and removal of the pins. The author also reviews his experience concerning the frequency and the type of possible complications together with methods designed to avoid them and analyses the development of the indications for this procedure.
