Abstract

Parmi les dictionnaires généraux de la langue française qui sont actuellement le plus largement utilisés, le TLF(i) est celui qui montre globalement le traitement le plus fiable, le mieux documenté et le plus réfléchi quant à l'origine arabe de nombreux mots français et aux cheminements divers qui ont conduit à l'usage que nous connaissons aujourd'hui. Pour autant, certaines améliorations et des mises à jour devraient être apportées, à court terme lorsque c'est possible, et à moyen terme lorsque l'amélioration d'une notice nécessite un travail de recherche un peu approfondi.
