Abstract
Summary: The technique and indications of the most important procedures for prevention of corneal complications are outlined: tarsorrhaphy, lateral canthal tendon operation with or without shortening of the upper eyelid, and sling operations. Implantation of permanent magnets is also briefly mentioned.
