Abstract
It is generally supposed that industrial development necessarily implies some diminution in the quality of the environment. In fact this is not so: man is not the only species that can improve his lifestyle by adapting to environmental changes. This article shows that industrial areas need not be biological deserts and that industry can actively help in wildife conservation projects.
