Abstract

Bei 10 GPa Druck geht amorphes Calciumcarbonat (ACC) einen reversiblen Amorph‐amorph‐Phasenübergang zu einer Aragonit‐ähnlichen lokalen Ordnung ein. Dieses Ergebnis spricht für einen Mechanismus, bei dem Mg2+ – ein deutlich kleineres Kation als Ca2+ – die lokale Ordnung in ACC modifiziert, indem es eine Verringerung des molaren Volumens der amorphen Phase gestattet.
