Abstract
Hat etwa french bashing, jene wohlbekannte Vorliebe britischer Medien, auf Deutschland übergegriffen ? Die Auswertung von rund 250 Artikeln aus der Tages- und Wochenpresse zwischen 2008 und 2015 lässt auf jeden Fall den Schluss zu, dass dieser Eindruck nichts mit selektiver Wahrnehmung zu tun hat. Eine dem Untergang geweihte Wirtschaft, eine verkrustet-gelähmte Gesellschaft und eine politische Führung, die vor tiefgreifenden Reformen zurückscheut, lassen nämlich Frankreich in der Tat in einem erbärmlichen Zustand erscheinen – zumindest dem sehr kritischen Bild nach zu urteilen, das die deutsche Presse vom « Modell Frankreich » zeichnet, das sich den Anforderungen einer globalisierten Welt nicht gewachsen zeigt. Zwar reflektiert die deutsche Presse wirtschaftliche und soziale Kennzahlen Frankreichs, die tatsächlich beunruhigend sind, aber der Spiegel wird auch zum Zerrspiegel wegen der angeschlagenen Tonart, die teils auf die Überzeugung zurückzuführen ist, das bessere Modell zu vertreten, teils auf die Befürchtung, Frankreich könne Europa und somit auch Deutschland mit sich in den Untergang reißen.

Le dépouillement de près de 250 articles tirés de la presse quotidienne et hebdomadaire allemande entre 2008 et 2015 confirme en tout cas qu’une telle impression ne relève nullement de la perception sélective. Avec une économie vouée au déclin, une société frappée de paralysée et des dirigeants incapables de réformer en profondeur, la France apparaît effectivement dans un piteux état à travers le portrait qu’en dresse une presse allemande très critique à l’égard d’un « modèle français » jugé dépassé par la mondialisation. Mais si le miroir ainsi tendu à la France reflète bien des indicateurs économiques et sociaux de fait inquiétants, c’est aussi un miroir déformant, en particulier par le ton employé, tantôt inspiré par l’assurance de défendre le meilleur modèle, tantôt par la crainte de voir la France entraîner l’Europe et l’Allemagne dans son déclin.</abstract> </profileDesc> </hal></record>Pour manipuler ce document sous Unix (Dilib)
