Abstract

Lieder haben im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert nicht nur die zahlreichen politischen Brüche und Entwicklungen in Deutschland begleitet und widergespiegelt, sondern auch in erheblichem Maße dazu beigetragen, Emotionen zu wecken und zu schüren, geradezu zu ritualisieren. Lied und Musik waren die effizientesten Medien, um Forderungen, Sehnsüchte, aber auch Überzeugungen und Gewissheiten zum Ausdruck zu bringen: Im Zeitalter der Nationalbewegung und der Sehnsucht nach einem liberalen Verfassungsstaat begnügte man sich nicht mehr damit, Gott und dem jeweiligen Fürsten im Lied zu huldigen. Von der "Erfindung" des modernen Heimatliedes bis zur deutschen Einigung von 1989/1990 eine Reise durch zwei Jahrhunderte deutscher Nationalstaatsbildung.

            <abstract xml:lang="fr">Quel rôle ont joué les chants dans la construction de la représentation de l'Allemagne entre "petite patrie" locale et grande patrie nationale? Comment ces chants ont-ils évolué jusqu'à la période de l'unification vers 1989-1990? Telles sont les questions auxquelles cette étude se propose de répondre, en montrant comment en soi la plupart des chants "patriotiques" n'ont pas l'impulsion négative que le national-socialisme leur a attribuée. Il n'en rste pas moins qu'après 1945 l'emphase patriotique nationale était définitivement passée de mode, aussi dans le chant.</abstract>
