Abstract
A cell-free system prepared from exocarp of Citrus sinensis fruits converted [14C]-all-trans-β-carotene into zeaxanthin, antheraxanthin, violaxanthin and abscisic acid (ABA). ABA was unequivocally characterized by combined capillary GC-MS.
